7 Clever Gift Ideas For Clients

gift ideas for clientsIt's the time of year to send a big "Thank You" to your customers and show your appreciation for their business.

Delighting your clients with a little holiday cheer shows your gratitude for their business and how much you appreciate them.

But what if you want to say thanks in more memorable way than a gift card or fruit basket?

While gift cards and the like are excellent gifts and always welcomed, why don't you try a gift that will wow your customers with these 7 clever gift ideas for clients?

1. Custom Cookies

Cookies have come a long way since I was a kid, and there are some amazing bake artists like Plenty O' Cookies out there who can make a cookie any shape, color, or design you desire.

I have yet to meet a person who doesn't like cookies (and I don't care to, they sound awful).

Get your clients a dozen custom cookies with your logo, their logo, or even just a funny design on them. It's a clever gift idea for clients that stands out against the rest of the baked goods they'll probably have.

2. Make a Creative Bouquet

These are a few of your favorite things, made into a bouquet.

The sky is the limit here.  The pictured bouquet was one I made for a Valentine's Day gift, but you could customize this to be all kinds of different things that represent your company, culture, and services.

Include favorite treats from around your office, and a gift card to a restaurant you know your clients love to go for a business lunch.

VOILA! Creative bouquet.

I will warn you that this is quite a time investment, so maybe not the best option if you're gifting to a large number of people.

This is a great gift to deliver in person, and your clients will love the time you took to personalize it for them.

3. Send a Chair Masseuse

I love bringing a chair masseuse into work. It's a great treat for employees to get 20-30 minutes of relaxation time without having to leave the office.

Arrange for a chair masseuse to come to your clients' office, or send them a gift card so they can treat their team at any time they choose. Infinite Massage makes booking and paying a breeze and you can schedule pretty far in advance.

Your client will appreciate that you want to send them some R&R this holiday season.

4. PERSONALIZED GIFTS

You can put your logo on just about everything these days.  But, the same old branded coffee mug or t-shirt have been done a million times. How about something a bit more creative?

Companies like Grog Tag will customize bottles of wine for you!  Send you clients a little vino to cheers to a great year.

USB drives are super useful and can be expensive, so clients love to get a freebie to throw in their desk.  Flashbay has tons of original drives to brand in unique forms; from cards that fit in a wallet to slap bracelets! This could also be a clever way to send over your video holiday card.

The holidays are all about candy, and sending over a box full of chocolate with your company's logo all over it is sure to be a hit.  WH Candy makes custom candy bar labels and puts them on quality chocolate or other tasty treats.  We tried this one and it has been a huge hit.

5. video holiday card

This is a great option for a company that does a lot of virtual communications. Your team talks virtually to your clients all the time, but may have very little to no face-to-face interaction.

Sending a holiday video greeting puts a face to every name in your office and gives you a chance to display your company culture and amazing staff personalities (obviously).

Have each person in the office send their holiday greeting, sing a song, or tell a cute holiday joke. Dressing up in holiday sweaters for these videos isn't required but is highly encouraged.

6. Donation in Their Honor

This is a great gift if you have a client who is non-profit or who represents a charity.

Make a donation in your clients name, and send them the certificate. The gesture shows that you understand the things that are important to your client and want to support them, and you get the warm fuzzy feelings from donating to a good cause.

7. Give the Gift of Technology

gift ideas for clientsOur agency prides ourselves on our love for technology. We LOVE a new system or tool, especially when we KNOW it will make our clients lives easier.

If there is a tool your company uses that you know your client could benefit from, gift them a year of service.

There are several tools out there that are inexpensive and will save your clients time and effort in their daily work routine.

If you have a client who loves organization, Trello could be an excellent gift.  For the creatives in your life, Canva or Adobe Suites are great content creation tools that you could gift for a low cost for a whole year.

Your clients will appreciate having the chance to play with a new tech tool without having to drop the cash for it and will love that you want to help them succeed.

Giving a memorable gift to your clients during the holidays says "Thanks for your business" and will remind them of your amazing service every time they enjoy your gift.  Investing in client delight is always a perfect way to ensure that they will keep coming back for more great service and encourage them to evangelize your company.

What clever or original gifts have you sent to clients in the past, and what are you thinking of sending this year?
