Handmade Innovation with a Canon D60

My dude, Nate J. Marshall, is an innovator, among a variety of other things.

Nate is a junior down at Ohio University and one of the leaders in The Schey Sales Centre. He's a self-taught video guru who has built a student-run production company called CreMedia with a few of the other talented students down in Athens.

These guys are producing some pretty savvy videos for businesses and the Centre using a Canon D60 DSLR camera. This camera has created a ton of buzz in the media industry for its amazing high-definition video quality, depth of field and ease of use.

Design Challenge

While it's not as cool as a D60, I shoot a lot of video using my Canon T2i Rebel, which is, admittedly, a step down from Nate's camera. One of the challenges I've had lies in the ability to actually maneuver the camera in a way that allows me to compose a nice shot. Even with auto-stabilization, it's tricky with a camera that's body is designed to take stills.

Nate has been having the same challenges. So what did he do?

He innovated.
